Dotted Hobo

Front View

Here is another bag. I was inspired by a bag that a friend of mine had hanging on her office door. I used a beautiful dotted remnant I found at Britex. I traced the pattern so I could get the most out of the piece. It is shallow and long with a rounded fabric covered handle. Surprisingly comfortable. I have been using this bag to take note on how to make it better. I know now that I will change the inside pockets to be more efficient, if not bigger. It is also lined with a beautiful yellow upholstery cotton with a fine corduroy texture.
I hope you like it.

Yellow Plate Bag

The Front The applique in the front of the bag. The Inside Floral Liner and Pocket
This is the first “Plate Bag” I made. The inside is lined with a beautiful “blue floral bark cloth” fabric. All of the fabrics used for this bag are cotton remnants. The bag is 9″ tall by 11″ wide and it has an inside pocket. Please take a look at the other posts to see the different bags I’ve made. All bags are one of a kind.
I always welcome your comments and suggestions!

Bark Cloth/Plate Bag

Front View Back View

This bag was inspired by a plate. Well, not really, but I did use a plate to trace the circle, so I call it the “Plate Bag”. I bought the fabric (called bark cloth) from this incredible lady at the Alameda Antiques fair that happens at the Navy base. She has incredible knowledge of fabric and designers. She was an inspiration to talk to, so needless to say, I can’t wait to see her again.
The inside liner is polyester and it happened to be a matching color. And, of course, a small pocket one can use for a cell phone or keys. The bag is about 9″ tall by 11″ wide, so it is nice and compact, and really light. No more backaches.
I hope you enjoy it and contact me with any questions and/or suggestions.
